Welcome to the Tim -n- Mary Schmidt (tnmschmidt) home page!
Mary and I are presently working in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the West Indies. We have started a small church, and God is blessing, greatly. Because there is a law in Puerto Rico that prohibits starting a church in one's home (due to the Charismatic's abuse of the privilege and broadcasting their services into their neighborhoods via large, powerful speakers) we must "officially" reffer to ourselves as having a Bible Study. We had our first services on February 26, '06.
Several have already been saved and one family has even started discipleship lessons.
We are staying very busy with all that comes with starting a new work on the foreign field. As a matter of fact, as of March 28, '06 we have knocked on 1,500 doors, inviting our neighbors to come to our services. Since Ponce is a city of over 300,000, we have a long way to go.
We're excited about serving our great God, and look forward to great things for His glory!!
