Pedro's Ties

Pedro Lopez was our first convert and was very faithful in his attendance. He received a new Bible after his fifth consecutive Sunday, and soon after, he approached me and stated that he noticed that I always wore a tie and white shirt to the services. I told him that I always wear a suit and tie to the house of God, to honor God. He then told me that he wished he had a tie so that he too could honor the one who saved him!

I immediately sent my wife to my closet to retrieve my tie collection, and gave Pedro the opportunity to choose whichever two ties he wanted. He was very excited, and quickly choose two.

As it turned out, Pedro chose my two favorite ties, but I never told him that. He has proudly worn the ties to church and it always fills my heart with joy to see Pedro in shirt and tie.
